The American Lung Association’s Faces of Influenza, a multi-year national public awareness initiative, aims to help Americans put a “face” on this serious disease and recognize influenza immunization as an important preventative measure to safeguard their families ever year. On Saturday, November 11, the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania will host the Faces of Influenza Portrait Gallery - a photo exhibition of dramatic black-and-white portraits and personal stories of famous and not-so-famous Americans, who fall into one or more of the groups recommended for immunization by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
King of Prussia will welcome Joy Behar, who will be available to discuss her personal experience with influenza. Additionally, influenza immunizations will be offered to the public at the event for $25 each and several health insurance plans and Medicare Part B will be accepted.
