The Neighborhood Classics Series, hosted by pianist Simone Dinnerstein, features Face the Music in a program that includes Osvaldo Golijov’s "Last Round," Steve Martland’s "Horses of Instruction," Anna Clyne’s short quartet "Primula Vulgaris," and Robert Honstein’s "Night Mixes." Praised for “stunning performances” by The New York Times, Face the Music is an alternative-classical ensemble of more than sixty talented teenagers from over twenty New York area middle and high schools. The Neighborhood Classics Series was founded by Simone Dinnerstein; proceeds of the Neighborhood Classics performances are donated to the hosting schools.
