Face Jugs: Art and Ritual in 19th Century South Carolina January 22, 2013

'Face Jugs' will focus on African-American pottery created in the second half of the 19th century. The exhibit celebrates the aesthetic power of these potent art forms and will highlight their cultural meanings within a community of Americans that lived under the most difficult of circumstances.
