Dutch-born floral designer, René van Rems, is a distinguished member and award winner of the American Institute of Floral Designers and National Speakers Association. Since coming to the U.S. in 1978, his work has been featured in top American magazines. He has published a book and shared his design skills and floral experience with audiences worldwide as well as through classes and pro-bono work with the San Diego Botanical Gardens and the San Diego Museum of Art’s Annual Art Alive event.

When it comes to fresh flowers and design, you won’t want to miss this one of a kind presentation with the industry’s master instructor, René van Rems, AIFD. Let René take you on a tour of the latest trends from a floral perspective, showcasing design styles and techniques from the German hand tied Biedermeier bouquets, Dutch parallel design and French country to name just a few.

Learn the secrets of selecting the right colors, flowers, containers and other materials to make high-style design easy. He will demonstrate step-by-step, the techniques to make your flowers last longer and how to achieve that professional designer statement.

Rene will feature unusual cut flowers, exotic materials, botanicals, and supplies as they relate to the latest design trends. This highly visual and energetic program will inspire you to continue working on your personal signature touch.
