San Francisco, on April 9, 2008, is the only city in North America that will host the 2008 Beijing Olympics torch relay.
This is a unique opportunity to join Darfur activist leaders to communicate in person to Chinese government officials that it must use its relationship with Sudan to end the genocide in Darfur. This could be the most important and impactful event for Darfur in the U.S. this year!
The more of us who line the relay route in a respectful and peaceful manner on Wednesday, April 9 in San Francisco, the more powerful the message will be.
Extinguish the Flames of Genocide in Darfur!
Visit www.darfursf.org and register to participate. By registering, you can receive updates of plans for the day, including exact times and meeting locations.
We expect few problems in lining a part of the Relay route with our respectful presence and placards that you can get in April 4th's Friday Chronicle or at the gathering point (to be announced on website).
