Expressive Art Therapy September 6, 2011

The Cancer Center at Chandler regional Medical Center will provide cancer patients and co-survivors with music therapy, journaling, therapeutic movement and therapeutic art with the following goals/expected outcomes:

Decrease anxiety, stress and pain. Increase positive mood, body awareness, and emotional health. Increase physical and emotional strength. Build social network for support and facilitate the mind and body connection.

Expressive Art Therapy is a six week series with therapeutic use of arts as a way to foster human growth, develop self awareness, insight and self express, facilitating positive life change and enrichment. Art Therapy differs from art as activity.
