Learn more about the new business opportunities that are available to design firms using the broad canvas of Microsoft UX platforms and tools. 3:00pm - 4:00pm Designing Rich Web Experiences with Microsoft's Web Platform and Tools
(ASP.NET and "WPF/E")

In this session we'll walk through creating and enriching a customer facing Web experience for Burton Snowboards. We'll delve deeply into the design stage with Expression Web and integrating that design into Visual Studio and ASP.NET 2.0. Then we'll enrich the site leveraging ASP.NET AJAX and finally push rich media and interactivity farther than ever before with "WPF/E." You'll walk away understanding the breadth and power of the end to end platform grounded in a concrete customer example.
4:15pm - 5:00pm Standards Based Web Design

We'll show you how to simplify creating standards based Web sites so you can focus more of that energy on being creative. Learn about best practices and see how you can create CSS-based, XHTML 1.0 Transitional Web sites by default. Built in site validation with compatibility and accessibility reporting against Section 508 and W3C Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) further helps simplify Web site creation.
