In this spirited, playful, supportive workshop we’ll explore Japanese poetic forms, such as haibun, haiku, renga, and senryu in the morning and delve into sacred poetry from different world traditions in the afternoon.
You don’t need any experience to participate and the way the exercises are structured is not scary or intimidating. We will introduce the forms – and most importantly play with them – exploring the intersections of prayer, practice, spiritual insight, and expression in a gentle, creative, and safe container.
$20 suggested donation includes delicious vegetarian/vegan lunch. Registration is helpful; it lets the cook know how much lunch to prepare. No one turned away for lack of funds. Drop-ins welcome.
