Costumed History Player Eva Valesh leads this walking tour of the mills along the riverfront. As a reporter for the Saint Paul Globe in 1888 and 1889, Valesh exposed the harsh working conditions of women in mills along the riverfront under the pen name Eva Gay. Learn about life as a factory worker for girls at the North Star Woolen Mill, which still stands at the west end of the Stone Arch Bridge.
