Explore the Magical Animal Kingdom at Westfield Annapolis June 15, 2011

Westfield Annapolis’ Westfield Family program presents The Magical Animal Kingdom for the month of June, featuring Westfield Family Fun Days designed to help kids learn about animals in the wild and in their own backyards. At these free, family-friendly activities, kids will play, create and learn about animals.

June 1st will feature story time with “Moose Tracks!” by Karma Wilson and Jack E. Davis, and “Bear Snores On” by Karma Wilson. Kids also will create tissue paper teddy bears to take home and enjoy a fun and healthy snack. Kidsinger Jim will perform and there will be face painting. This event will take place and coincide with the soft opening for Westfield Play Space. The ribbon cutting will be at 10:30am with Anne Arundel and Annapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Naval Academy Athletic Association and The Annapolis Area Library. Retailers involved are Gelato, Starbucks, Build-A-Bear, LEGO and Hallmark.

On June 15th, the kids will decorate easy-to-assemble bird houses, have story time with “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” by Eric Carle and “The Lion and The Mouse” by Jerry Pinkney, and enjoy another healthy snack.
