- Visit one of the largest street art exhibitions and enjoy insights from curator Meres One
- See a live demonstration of spray painting
- Get up to 5Pointz’s rooftop to catch the best view of Manhattan’s skyline
Welcome to 5Pointz, affectionately nicknamed “The Institute of Higher Burnin’.” This industrial complex-turned-art exhibit in Long Island City boasts 200,000 square feet of graffiti coated walls, making it one of the largest street art collections in the world. 5Pointz gets its name for uniting the five boroughs of New York City, though in reality it attracts graffiti artists who hail from everywhere between Brazil to Japan.
Curator Meres One will guide you through the outdoor gallery, narrating 5Pointz’s history and purpose, and explaining its strong ties to the music community (Joan Jett, Joss Stone and Mobb Deep have all been known to pay visits). You’ll see the colorful (master)pieces and portraits, as well as the mural-scale productions on the warehouse walls.
Meres will give a live demonstration of how he creates his own works of art, before stopping by the roof to see one of the most breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline.
