Expert Perspective: Transforming Earth Works: A Discussion of Atacama Lab:07

Chris Taylor, UT professor, architect, educator, and co-director of Land Arts of the American West, will discuss Atacama Lab:07, a conference and workshop he led to investigate terraforming within the Atacama Desert of Chile by extending the interpretive frame and working methods of Land Arts along the axis of the Americas. This project is documented in the Blanton's new exhibition, Atelier 2008: Selections from the Department of Art and Art History Faculty at The University of Texas at Austin, on view April 19-June 8.
