Expert Conference: "Modernized EU Social Security Coordination - One Year Later - Looking Forward" April 27, 2011

The new regulations on social security coordination will have been in force for a year by 1st of May 2011. The Hungarian Presidency intends to map on this occasion – in the frame of a Presidency Conference – the experiences of implementing institutions concerning all sectors (sickness, pension, unemployment, family benefits, occupational diseases and accident at work, applicable legislation). It would be examined how the new procedures, the new documents fulfil the preliminary expectations, how the enhanced cooperation between institutions support the better enforcement of citizens’ rights, what are the major problems hindering the proper implementation in the specific areas, and Member States could also exchange their good practices on the process of preparation for the use of Electronic Exchange of Social Security Information (EESSI).
