Meet Artist & Poet Salma Arastu Noon - 1:30 p.m. Salma Arastu is the author of The Lyrical Line: All Embracing and Flowing. In paintings, poetry, sculpture, and digitalart, Salma conveys messages of peace, unity, spirituality, and diversity. Meet Author Suruchi Mohan 1:30 3:00 p.m. Bay Area author Suruchi Mohans debut novel Divine Music tells the story of Sarika, a talented student pursuing her love of singing at a renowned music college in Northern India. Indian Dance and Music 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Indian art and culture with a special dance performance by 17-year-old Priya Banerjee. Priya began studying classical Indian dance at age 4; graduated from the Shri Krupa Dance Foundation of San Jose at age 9; then pursued a degree in Bharatanatyam dance from the Alagappa Performing Arts Academy in Chennai, India. Priya has performed in dance festivals all over the world and has won numerous awards.
