Using an extreme vertical format, Hugo paints narratives with a visual language that is both ambiguous and familiar. His juxtaposition of beautiful (and sometimes humorous) images of
pillows, water, leaves and suspended butterflies encourages you to question their relationships and consider how they relate to our lives and culture.
