Marc Chagall is a major exhibition that includes a significant selection of about half of Chagall’s 1957 series of hand-colored etchings of Bible stories, a series never before seen on Long Island. The exhibition portrays this important and loved artist as a storyteller, demonstrating how Chagall, throughout a long and distinguished career, incorporated facets of his early Russian-Jewish heritage into multilayered works.
