Renowned New York collector Werner Kramarsky has assembled one of the largest and finest collections of contemporary works on paper, totaling more than 2,000 abstract drawings. From his celebrated collection, Mr. Kramarsky has selected 23 works by such important artists as Sol Lewitt and Mel Bochner to donate to the Boise Art Museum. As a generous supporter of art and artists, Mr. Kramarsky states, You have a responsibility to challenge, to move the world along, to add insight to what beauty can be. Collector, curator and educator, Werner Kramarsky served for eight years as chairman of the board of the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA, is a life trustee of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and has been a trustee of the Hammer Museum at UCLA.
