?From Frog Embryos to the Chart of Dentistry: Wall Charts from Carleton?s Collections? includes a selection of antique educational wall charts discovered in the biology department?s storeroom. Wall charts were a common visual aid in science classrooms from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century. Large and often beautifully illustrated, these charts made it possible for an entire class to examine an illustration of a frog?s anatomy or identify types of bees. The exhibition runs from December 21, 2005 through April 1, 2006.
The Carleton College Gould Library is open daily. Library hours are reduced when Carleton is not in session.
