Exhibit: Watercolors by NMWS Southern Chapter April 2, 2009

Las Cruces, NM – The New Mexico Watercolor Society, Southern Chapter's 2009 Spring Membership Exhibit opens Friday, April 3 with an artists' reception from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The exhibit continues through Saturday, April 25.

The spring membership show is the third juried exhibit held by the Southern Chapter. Twenty-two artists will show 34 paintings selected by juror Bill Rakocy of El Paso. The exhibit features a wide variety of works, from realistic to expressive abstractions of subjects including figurative, floral, landscape, still life and animals.

The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. The exhibit and reception is free and open to the public.
