On October 3rd, at 7:30 p.m., the Diplomats of Mercy Exhibit will open at the Virginia Holocaust Museum. The exhibit acknowledges the exceptional courage of diplomats representing a variety of nations who acted selflessly to save Jewish lives during the dark years of the Holocaust.
The exhibit will also begin a broader theme for the 2010-2011 year which recognizes the “the Righteous Among the Nations," those who were willing to sacrifice everything for a greater purpose.
The opening features a lecture by Pierre Sauvage, an international filmmaker and child survivor of the Holocaust, who will speak about What We Can Learn From the Righteous.
