The Spring 2009 Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) candidates art exhibition opens with a reception from 5-7 PM on Friday, May 8th at the Las Cruces Museum of Art and the Branigan Cultural Center. On display for one week, the exhibit features painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design, photography, and metals/jewelry works from 19 graduating BFA students at the NMSU Art Department. The show will run through Saturday, May 16th.
Funded by the City of Las Cruces, the Las Cruces Museum of Art and the Branigan Cultural Center host the annual exhibit featuring the works of BFA art students from New Mexico State University. “This exhibit is always a great way to see emerging trends in contemporary art,” said Exhibitions Curator Joy Miller. “It is a look into the future of the art world.”
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 10AM – 4PM, and Saturday, 9AM – 1PM. Admission is free. The Las Cruces Museum of Art is located at 491 North Main Street.
