The Branigan Cultural Center in Las Cruces will exhibit art work by the students of Carolyn Bunch, collectively known as the Monday Painters Group. The exhibit runs from Saturday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 29. A preview of the exhibit is included in the DAAC Annual Arts-Hop, a ticketed event on Friday, Sept. 7.
The exhibit features recent works of Bobbi Barrio, Jennifer Goude, Ellen Green, Bette Hall, Pat Jonker, Caryl Kotulak, Jane Rogstad, Jill Steinhoff, Carol Groves, and Carlene Wimberly, along with their instructor Carolyn Bunch. The group focus is on portraiture and figurative work. The individual artists use a variety of media including watercolor, oil, acrylic, and pastels. The Monday Painters Group meets in the studio of Carolyn Bunch.
The Cultural Center is located at the north end of the downtown mall. Parking is available at intersection of Water and Hadley streets. There is no charge to view exhibits, and the BCC is open to the public Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Cultural Center is handicapped accessible.
