Speaker - Patty Purpur
In 1992, Patty Purpur (Gash) began offering personal fitness services as Gash Fitness at the Mountain View Athletic Club and made $11,000 in her first year as a personal trainer. Since that time her company, TimeOut Services, Inc. has grown to over 3.6 million in annual sales with clients that include: Cisco, Google, Yahoo! KLA-Tencor & Safeway. TimeOut Services now employees over 120 employees many of which are trainers & instructors.
Patty is a scholar, athlete, mother of two, and entrepreneur. In 1985 she was the top rated and most recruited female shot and discus thrower in the nation. She accepted a full athletic scholarship to Stanford University where she was a 9-time All-American and the Track and Field Team Captain for two consecutive years. Patty was ranked 7th in the USA in Shot Put in 1988. She qualified for the 1988 Olympic Trials and was the National Collegiate Weightlifting Champion in 1989. Patty graduated with a BA in Psychology from Stanford University in 1989 and was inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame in 2002 and the North Dakota HS Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
