TiE Seattle has launched the “Health Sciences and Technology” Special Interest Group to promote and provide networking, collaborative and entrepreneurship opportunities in the health related technology, care and research space. TiE’s goal is to create global connections for Pacific Northwest researchers and entrepreneurs involved in health related technologies.

Anula Jayasuriya, MD, PhD, MBA is a life science venture capitalist. Anula is the co-founder of the “Evolvence India Life Science Fund” (EILSF), a $90 million fund established in 2006 to make investments in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and related contract service companies based in India. EILSF has made four investments to date.
Hugh Chang, - is an alumnus of the University of Washington and works across PATH's global programs as Director of Special Initiatives. One recent project has been to investigate the creation of a ‘Global Technology Equity Fund’ for life science applications in the developing world. The goal of the fund is to use equity financing to increase the rate of innovation targeting solutions to developing world health opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to understand the landscape of business and developmental technologies, to network with leaders in the field of tech transfer to Asia and global health market developments.
