Evolution: A Grand Opening

Pump Project Art Complex invites Austin to its official grand opening celebration, Evolution. As the largest art facility in East Austin, Pump Project has renewed its focus to offer important resoucres for artists such as affordable studios, gallery space, equiment and tool rental, and meeting room, as well as to actively encourage the importance of art in the community through exhibitions, film screenings, and workshops.

Our renewed mission kicks off with a gallery exhibition including work by Alonso Rey-Sanchez, David Ohlerking, Miranda Mueller, Walle Conoly, Ricardo Acevedo, and many others. The nearly 40 painters, sculptors, printmakers, ceramicists, and glassworkers who have studios at Pump Project will open their doors to give the public an opportunity to interact with them and take a look at their latest work. Some artists will also give demonstrations on how they create their art. Musical guests for the evening are It Was Divine Justice and Daetron Vargas.
