For anyone who attended Steven Johnson's AAM talk and wondered about the Clay Shirky talk Johnson referred to (about cognitive surplus), the full text is posted here under "Gin, Television, and Social Surplus": http://www.herecomeseverybody.org/.
The packed room was a testament to the fact that Johnson's ideas have a lot to offer museum professionals trying to reach people where they "live"--what great things could we accomplish if we could figure out how to get people to spend some of their cognitive surplus inside museums?!
