Evergreen, CO – "It's like Christmas with guns," is how one happy member of the Soady family describes the opening day of hunting season. The Evergreen Players presents “Escanaba in da Moonlight,” Jeff Daniels’ comic homage to hunting, July 10 – 26 at Center/Stage in Evergreen.

When the Soady clan reunites for the opening day of deer season at the family's Upper Peninsula camp, 35-year-old Reuben Soady goes to any and all lengths to remove himself from the wrong end of the family record book--to bag a buck. A hilarious tale of humor, horror, and heart.

Director Meridith Crosley casts Beau Augustin as Ranger Tom T. Treado, Sean Maslow as Jimmer Negamanee, Len Matheo as Remnar Soady, Rand Moritzky as Albert Soady, Robert Michael Sanders as Rueben Soady and Gina Scalzi as Wolf Moon Dance Soady.
