In the '60s and '70s with lyricist, Hal David, and brand-spanking-new vocalist, Dionne Warwick, he had us asking 'Do You Know the Way to San Jose?,' confessing 'I Say a Little Prayer for You' and questioning an inscrutable young man named 'Alfie.'
