Evening of Astronomy: Lunar Legends and Moon Myths December 17, 2010

Examine some of the many tales that have been told about the Moon, the closest celestial body to the Earth. Immediately following each program, "What's Up?" will be hosted by the Astronomy Department, featuring a presentation of what objects can be seen in the night sky on a clear evening. Live observing will continue throughout the evening in the Apollo Observatory. Admission to the educational program is FREE. Following the program, Laser Light Shows will be offered in the Planetarium for a nominal fee.
