Sarah Ruhl takes one of the oldest love stories of all time and turns it upside down in the magical reimagining of the Greek myth of Orpheus. The original story focuses on Orpheus and his journey into the underworld to save his wife, Eurydice, who he lost just moments after their wedding. Ruhl instead follows Eurydice into the underworld and imagines what her journey might have entailed. The result is an incredibly moving and magical story of love, loss and self-discovery. Eurydice is appropriate for all ages.
