Mexican Heritage Plaza Presents ?Words: From Spoken to Seen?, the First West Coast Museum Exhibition of the highly acclaimed Ethiopian artist Wosene Worke Kosrof.
Wosene Kosrof?s art explores the contemporary, universal issues of multiculturalism, diaspora (the dispersal of any group of people from their original country or homelands to other countries), identity and language/cultural negotiation?important subjects in cross cultural communications in the Bay Area.
Curated by Stanford University Assistant Professor of Art History Dr. Barbara Martinez-Ruiz, this will be the first exhibition at the Mexican Heritage Plaza to focus exclusively on the visual culture of an African artist and his cultural traits in a Latino context.
