It is the story of Gene, a widower, with a frail mother whom he loves and a father whom he has never loved, hard as he tried.
When Gene is suddenly faced with the choice between starting a new life in California and caring for his needy father, he tries once again to rouse in himself affection for a man who is more adept at charming strangers than at showing love for his children.
Susan Horowitz directs the cast, which includes Pat Debrovner, John Gurney, Dan Hanson, Peter Houts, Joan Klips, John Lovelady, Carol Rost, Elizabeth Ungar and Tom Weishaar.
