As a reporter in Hollywood, you?re only as good as your Rolodex is large. To stay well-connected and land the big interviews, entertainment journalists have to balance what the actor/agent/publicist/studio wants and the "real" story. There?s the quid pro quo - "Do a story on my newest client and I?ll get you that interview with Ashton." And, of course, there?s all that tempting swag.
The Society of Professional Journalists will host "Ethics and Entertainment Journalism," a panel discussion, on Monday, April 25, at the Los Angeles Central Library.
