Join young vocalist Clarice Handoko in an intimate acoustic set with bassist Jase Sng and guitarist Amos Tadete as she presents an eclectic mix of personal favourites with a common theme: Love, in its various forms. Love songs, both familiar and lesser-known ones, will be given different takes, reflecting the many facets of love discovered through personal journeys and subtle happenings around us.
Clarice Handoko was part of the Esplanade’s Bright Young Things Mentorship Programme. Now at 17, she hopes to develop a sound that is unique, with hints of quirky, learning from great vocalists such as Sarah Vaughan, Stacey Kent and Amy Winehouse.
Jase Sng plays electric bass guitar and the acoustic bass. He has performed locally and at international festivals, including Clockenflap (Hong Kong), the Jarasum Jazz Festival (Seoul) and Urbanscapes (Kuala Lumpur).
A self-taught musician, Amos Tadete has explored many kinds of genres from classical to rock and jazz, and has been performing as a sessionist. He is part of a the band INSIGHT with vocalist Alicia Soh.
They will be performing 2 sets: 7.15 - 7.45pm, 8.15 - 8.45pm
