Austin singer/songwriter Erin Ivey will perform live at The Living Room, come hear her sultry sounds.
Broken Gold, is a collection of 11 deeply personal and original tracks written and recorded by Ivey with the assistance of R&B/Dub trio, The Finest Kind. Guest performances include legendary musicians Ephraim Owens on trumpet and Jon Dee Graham on guitar. Ivey plans to release Broken Gold in February in 2011.
The album is layered with her signature sophistication best exemplified with tracks such as “I Always Leave Part of My Heart in Chicago” and “Little Star,” with sultry notes at every corner featured in “Chocolate and “Sing Out.” Smooth flowing hip-hop and R&B rhythms contribute to the creative track “Go! Go! Go!” and innovative instrumentation featured on the up-tempo track “You Got Your Wishes Wrong,” a dedication to late Pop Superstar Michael Jackson.
