RIB FEST CELEBRATES ITS 21st YEAR IN 2011!
Celebrate with us in Grand Rib Fest Style at the "Smokin' HOT Birthday Bash"......The Erie Rib Fest has come of age!!! Refreshing ice cold beer and fall-off-the -bone bbq...join the party!

Professional National Touring Rib Teams will be offering the very best in BBQ cuisine at the 21st Annual - Erie's Wild Rib Cook Off & Music Festival.

Beginning on Wednesday, June 1st, 2011, the streets of Downtown Erie, PA will be filled with the enticing aroma of slow cooked BBQ ribs prepared to perfection with secret sauces and specialty rubs. This kick-off event to Erie’s summer festival season is also host to delicious festival foods including fresh squeezed lemonade, creamy fudge, candy apples, funnel cakes, roasted nuts, ice cream, corn dogs, roasted corn and so much more! Enjoy all of these delicacies and the BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ rib dinners, Rib tasters and ice cold labatts on the plaza.

The "RIB Kids FUN ZONE" will feature a selection of child safe inflatable amusements in a family friendly environment. Parents can take advantage of the Ride-a-Ribba-Ramma Sessions. This is an opportunity where kids can ride from 5:00PM till 9:00PM on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for one low price with two sessions on Saturday. Ride Tickets are also available for individual rides.

All ages can test their courage and skill in the “BIG Kids ZONE” on the challenging Mechanical Bull. The 27 foot high Cliff Hanger Slide will test your fear of heights while you take the 27 foot plunge.

Event visitors will have the opportunity to cast your vote for your Favorite Rib Cooking Team at the PEOPLE'S CHOICE BOOTH. Many drawings, contests and activities are being planned.

This popular family event will also feature Local and Regional Bands showcased on two stages. Many new activities are in the planning stages to celebrate “21 Years of Great BBQ in the Region.
