Eric Ries is the author of the Startup Lessons Learned blog and the creator of the Lean Startup entrepreneurship methodology. He was the co-founder and served as Chief Technology Officer of IMVU, his third startup. He is the co-author of several books including The Black Art of Java Game Programming. In 2007, BusinessWeek named Ries one of the Best Young Entrepreneurs of Tech, and in 2009 he was recognized with a TechFellow award in the Engineering Leadership category. He has served as an advisor and consultant to a number of technology startups, software companies, and VC firms.
