Koosil-ja has been presenting Ergonomix for a few months now, showcasing the best of NYC's experimental electronic musicians in a raw warehouse space with an absolutely incredible sound system. For Ergonomix 12, everyone is invited to bring his/her own electronic instruments (complete with 12-foot, 1/4-inch cables) to improvise with Charles Cohen. A veteran of the city's improv and electronic music scenes, Cohen is deeply respected by all of the younger musicians for his extraordinary talent as well as his mastery of the Buchla Music Easel, an extremely rare instrument obtained from synth pioneer Don Buchla in 1976. This is a rare opportunity to show up and play with ? or simply observe and listen to ? a true master.
FREE if participating; $3 if not.
