Celebrating 15 years of breaking down barriers between dance, theater, and music, Epiphany Productions sonic dance theater's 2011 Home Season features three new works by choreographer and director Kim Epifano: Heelomali, a dazzling multi-media piece developed with critically acclaimed composer and didgeridoo master Stephen Kent and Burmese harp player Su Wai; Alonesome/Twosome, a duet created from an air mail drawing sent to Epifano by renowned artist Remy Charlip and featuring live music by Epifano and Kent; and Solo Lo Que Fue, a site-specific dance film created at Cantina El Norteno in Mexicali, Mexico. The Internationals, teen musicians from Burma, Liberia, and Nepal, from Refugee Transitions will perform three short pieces that were mentored by Epifano and Kent.

The 2011 Home Season and Heelomali is funded by the San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund/Grants for the Arts; the Lighting Artists in Dance Award, a program of Dancers' Group; the Walter and Elise Haas Fund; and the Lucky Star Foundation.
