This two-week course is offered by Epidemiology and Public Health Sciences,Department of Public Health and Clinical Medicine, Umea University, Sweden.The overall aims are to discuss epidemiological design, analysis andinterpretation, as well as the roles of quantitative and qualitativeapproaches in public health research.The course is designed to follow the research process from problem identification, planning and data collection through analysis, interpretation and documentation. The presentational form is a mixture ofplenary lectures, group work, hands-on experiences of analysing data anddiscussion directed towards an inter-disciplinary audience. A number ofplaces in the course are reserved for participants from developing countries involved in public health research.Language: EnglishTime: Two-week course June 2-14, 2008Application: Before February 18, 2008Some scholarships are available for participants from developing countries.
