The El Paso Community College Theater Ensemble, now in its sixth season, will stage the play “Royal Gambit” at 7:30 p.m., October 29 & 30 and November 5 & 6 in the Transmountain Campus Forum Theater, 9570 Gateway North.
“Royal Gambit” deals with the infamous Henry VIII of England and his six wives and how each one influenced the king and England. Though Henry remains the same throughout his marriages, the wives progress to modern times and show the lasting effect of Henry’s ideas and decisions. The play, written by Hermann Gressieker and translated by George White, will be directed by EPCC’s own Héctor Serrano.
General admission is $10. Students, military and senior adults pay $5. Tickets can be purchased at the door starting at 6:30 p.m. For additional information, call 831-3272 or 831-5056.
