National Grandparents Day is observed on the Sunday after Labor Day, and its purpose is three fold: to honor grandparents for their wisdom and experience, to allow grandparents an opportunity to show their love to their children’s kids and to make children aware of the great source of knowledge, strength and guidance that can be gained from the 98,000 “over sixty” seniors in El Paso County. EPCC’s Senior Adult Program is committed to presenting community events for elders to enjoy, maintain them engaged with community and improve their quality of life.
