EOS Young Photographer Awards 2013 April 10, 2013

Hello!

Are you aspiring to be a photographer, but don’t know where to start? Or do you have plenty of photographs taken, but no avenue for you to showcase your work?

Presenting the inaugural EOS Young Photographer Awards 2013! It is a region-wide initiative between Canon and the National Geographic Channel. It aims to inspire youths across Asia to take an active interest in the creative arts and know more about the science of photography.

Open to all aspiring photographers between the ages of 13 and 25 in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia, participants are to submit their best photographs under this year’s theme, “A Celebration of Colour.” The contest is open until 3 June 2013 and entries are to be submitted online at www.celebrationofcolour.com.

The grand prize winner would receive a Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera with an 18-55mm IS II lens and the opportunity to attend a National Geographic Photography Expedition in the US. There is also an ongoing Voters’ Choice Award for friends and supporters to vote for their favourite photograph which celebrates the vibrancy of colours.
