Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, the ‘Environmental Center for Arab Towns’, in collaboration with Harvard University- School of Public Health, is pleased to announce the EnviroCities 2008 International Conference, entitled “Sources and Health Effects of Air Pollution: Knowledge to Practice" . This conference will be held on 11-13 November 2008 at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, UAE. Such event aims to become an important biennial hallmark on the international calendar of environmental awareness events.
Bringing together policy makers, senior government officials, environmentalists, occupational health and safety inspectors, healthcare professionals, and representatives from the industrial sector, this unique event will examine the latest research and technologies devoted to studying air pollution and its adverse health effects, and demonstrate the relationship between environmental and community wellbeing.
