Enter the Rhone Zone - a global Rhone wine tasting August 1, 2009

We're calling for all Rhone Rangers to bring their badges and tie up their horses outside Solano Cellars as we introduce the much-hyped 2006 and 2007 vintages alongside their California counterparts. Is 2007 the vintage of a lifetime, as one major wine critic speculates? Can the Californian sun compete with the earthiness of France? Find out for yourselves amid the best Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier we can get our hands on.

The selection of over 15 wines will be presented by winemakers and representatives of the best importers on the West Coast. We'll be dividing the tasting into two 90 minute sessions, so please specify your preference for either a 6pm start or a 7:45pm start.

Lastly, your $20 admission grants you a $5 credit towards purchase of any Rhone wine tasted that night.
