Founded in 2004 by conductor Yoon Jae Lee, Ensemble 212 is a group of professional musicians based in New York City. Ensemble 212’s uniqueness is its flexibility to perform chamber, ensemble, and orchestral concerts. The ensemble’s size can range from an intimate duo to a symphony orchestra of over 50 musicians.
This concert features Ravel's Trois Poèmes de Stéphane Mallarmé with Hyo Na Kim as mezzo-soprano, Beethoven's youthful Rondo in E Flat Major and Octet in E Flat Major, Op. 103 for wind instruments, Golijov's Lullaby and Doina from the movie "The Man Who Cried" and Dvorak's folksy Serenade No. 2 in D Minor, Op. 44
