ENJOY “END-OF-SUMMER FUN” AT WESTFIELD PLAZA BONITA WITH FREE WESTFIELD FAMILY FUN DAYS FOR TODDLERS AND KIDS 6 & UP August 1, 2012

Celebrate “End-of-Summer Fun” in August—join Westfield Plaza Bonita and the Westfield Family Program for Family Fun Days, including the recently launched Fun Days for “big kids” (ages 6 & up). Our August Fun Days theme, End-of-Summer Fun, has kids going back to school and sharing stories about what they did over the summer.

Family Fun Days for Little Kids (Ages 2-5)

Join us on August 1 as kids read about riding on a traditional freight train pulled by a steam engine in Freight Train by Donald Crews, and explore everything that happens at the airport in Airport by Byron Barton. Kids will then color their very own wooden airplanes, and enjoy a snack.

On August 15 kids will ease back into school with two books by Kevin Henkes, the lighthearted Chrysanthemum, and Jessica, a story about an imaginary friend. Afterwards, kids will personalize their very own pencil case and receive a Westfield #2 pencil, and enjoy a snack. There is nothing better than going back to school with stylish school supplies!

Family Fun Days Big Kids (Ages 6 & Up)

Join us at our Family Fun Day for Big Kids (ages 6 & up) event on August 15. Whether kids attended summer school, went to camp, or travelled to another city or country, they all have memories they want to keep and share. For the craft this month, kids will make their very own, personalized picture frame. They will be able to add a photo they took over the summer to keep those memories alive.
