In celebration of International Development Week, the Atlantic Council for International Cooperation is hosting the Engendering Change Luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Miriam Palacios, who is Oxfam Canada’s Public Engagement Officer for British Columbia. Miriam has worked on women’s rights in Canada and her native Guatemala, and spent this past September in Bangladesh, where she engaged with organizations dealing with violence against women and women’s labour rights.
Other speakers at the Luncheon are: Suzanne Laporte (Vice President, Americas Branch, Canadian International Development Agency), and Jackie Sealy-Burke (Canada-Caribbean Gender Equality Program).
