More info:

The Energy House, a pre-1920s terraced property, has been re constructed inside a fully climatic controllable lab to research energy-saving technologies for older housing stock.

Local people are invited to see demonstrations of the lab's climate system which generates various climatic conditions, including wind and rain, and they will receive advice and practical tips on how to conserve energy and heating bills.

The Energy House is a key part of the University's research into the alleviation of fuel poverty and the aim of the open day is to share the findings. Researchers are also keen to hear the issues facing local people so they can inform the direction of the work being carried out.

One-hour morning, afternoon and evening sessions will run at 10am, 2pm and 6pm in the Energy House, Cockcroft Building, Salford campus.
