During this panel discussion co-organized jointly by GABA and Churchill Club, major industry leaders SAP, Sun Microsystems, Chevron, and PG&E will discuss how they are approaching energy efficiency and turning it into business opportunities. Learn what they are currently developing, and where they see prospects for future growth in Silicon Valley.
There's no argument that energy efficiency has the potential to build whole new industries and create millions of new jobs. And luckily for us, Silicon Valley is uniquely positioned to capitalize on this emerging market through our talented and exceptionally trained workforce, world-class universities and research centers, inimitable financial resources, and our thriving entrepreneurial culture. Already, we have employed 40-plus years of semiconductor processing experience to create solar photovoltaic and efficient LED lighting; our advances in biotech to derive biofuels, and IT to enable efficient alternatives to shopping and commuting. The possibilities for developments are infinite.
